One of the tastiest ways to cool down and hydrate on a summer day is with watermelon. Add in the energy and health benefits of matcha and you’ve got the recipe for a perfect summer drink.
INGREDIENTS
1.5 cups of cubed watermelon
Squeeze of lime
Pinch of salt
1 tsp Classic or Ceremonial Matcha + 1 oz hot water
Optional: 1-3 tsp simple syrup
METHOD
Freeze watermelon cubes for at least 6 hours, or overnight (depending on size)
Whisk matcha with 1oz of hot water; set aside. In a blender or food processor, blend the frozen cubed watermelon with a squeeze of lime and pinch of salt until it becomes a slushie consistency. If you like it sweeter, feel free to add a few teaspoons of simple syrup. Scoop into a glass and pour the cooled matcha over. Eat it with a spoon, or stir and sip like a slushie! Add an extra squeeze of lime if you like.
