Summer Recipes for Tea & Matcha

For the days that it's just too hot for hot tea, you need a few go-to recipes to cool down with your tea and matcha. Here are a few of our favs!

Strawberry Matcha Bliss Milk

Matcha milks are so easy to make! All you need is a blender, matcha, nut milk and your preferred sweetener. For this one, we've added a complementary flavour - strawberries!

You'll love this if you squeezed that Nesquick strawberry syrup into your milk as a kid 😳. Or if you just love chocolate and strawberries!

Matcha Bliss has cacao, reishi and maca in it, so it's mood-lifting and energizing without having much caffeine! It will help clear and calm your mind.

Ingredients:

1.5 - 2 teaspoons Matcha Bliss
8 oz milk (we like oat or coconut)
1 teaspoon maple syrup
4 medium strawberries
ice

Method:

Add all ingredients, except the ice, to a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour over ice!

Matcha Mint Lemonade

Ingredients:

5 oz lemon juice (2/3 cup or 3-4 lemons)
1.5 oz lime juice (3 tbsp or 1.5 limes)
3 oz / 6 tbsp simple syrup 
4 cups of water
Fresh mint leaves
1 teaspoon Classic Matcha or Matcha Activate

Method:

You'll want to make the lemonade first. In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice, lime juice, simple syrup or sugar and water. Stir to dissolve the syrup or sugar. We find that lemonade on the tart side actually tastes better with matcha, but you can always sweeten your matcha mint lemonade more at the end.

Tear up a few mint leaves and add it to the bottom of your glass. Alternatively, you can add the whole mint leaves and muddle in the bottom of your glass. Add a handful of ice. Fill your glass 3/4 full with lemonade. Stir to combine. Taste and sweeten more, if desired.

Separately, whisk 1 teaspoon of matcha with 2 oz hot water. Pour your matcha over your lemonade. Stir to combine. 

 

Golden Milk Ice Cream, Matcha Ice Cream or Milkshake!

The easiest way to make superfood ice cream is to get your favourite ice cream (we like coconut ice cream the best), take 3 scoops and add 1 teaspoon of your preferred blend and stir it up! Our favourites for adding to vanilla ice cream are Golden Turmeric, Matcha Bliss and Classic Matcha. 

You can also put the ice cream and the powders together in a blender to combine well. Scoop back into the container and place it in the freezer to harden up again. 

make it a milkshake! Blend 1 cup of the ice cream with 2/3 cup coconut or oat milk.
