That’s right, the standard order for a 16oz. pumpkin spice latte at a typical coffee chain contains 380 calories. That’s 38 grams of sugar, or 9.5 teaspoons! Yikes!
But don’t panic! Dr. Stephanie Bayliss, a practitioner of naturopathic medicine, has created a delicious alternative that is dairy free, gluten free, and refined sugar free. This recipe has that beloved pumpkin spice flavour we all love and cherish, but with none of those terrifying artificial ingredients.
Ingredients- 2 teaspoons of Pumpkin Spice Matcha or Golden Pumpkin Turmeric
- 1/3 cup cup of unsweetened almond milk
- 1/3 cup full-fat coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
