Name a better combination than matcha and white chocolate...we'll wait. Chocolate bark is one of the quickest and easiest treats to make, and usually requires only a handful of ingredients. This Matcha White Chocolate Bark uses our Organic Japanese Matcha which is perfect for lattes, smoothies, baking, and desserts.
RECIPE
- 450g white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
- 1-1.5 tbsp Amoda Japanese Matcha
METHOD
Line a square baking sheet with wax or parchment paper. Set aside.
In a heatproof bowl, heat the white chocolate on a double boiler or in the microwave for 30-second increments until just a few chunks remain. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted.
Transfer 3 tbsp of the white chocolate mixture to a small bowl, and sift in the matcha. Stir until combined.
Pour the melted white chocolate on to the baking sheet, using a spatula to spread evenly. Drizzle the matcha white chocolate over the plain white chocolate. Use a knife or skewer to swirl both mixtures together, being careful not to over-mix it.
Allow to cool in the fridge for 15 minutes or until completely set. Break into irregular pieces, or use a sharp knife to cut into neat squares or rectangles. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or in the freezer for a month.
** Feel free to experiment with different toppings! Rose petals, chopped nuts, dried fruit - the possibilities are endless.
