This is a drink like no other! Mango and matcha are the perfect summer pairing. This recipe is simple, but makes a drink that will impress. If you haven't tried adding chia seeds to your iced drinks, you're missing out! Chia doesn't just make your drink super fancy, it creates a great texture.
This recipe makes 1 drink.
1 ½ tsp chia seeds
¼ cup. of cold water
1 tsp Classic Matcha + 3 oz hot water
½ cup. of frozen mango
Whisk 1 ½ tsp of chia seeds into ¼ cup of cold water, let sit in fridge and allow to thicken for 30 minutes or overnight.
When you’re ready to make the drink, purée the frozen mango in a food processor or high speed blender. If you're using fresh mango, you can add some ice cubes to the blender or to glass.
Whisk 1 tsp of Classic Matcha with 3-4 oz of hot water. Pour over ice, add the thickened chia seed mixture and stir to combine. Add simple syrup to sweeten if desired. Top with puréed mango and enjoy!
