Genmaicha is a traditional Japanese blend of dark green slender sencha tea leaves and roasted brown rice. The rich, nutty flavours of the puffed rice blend perfectly with the fresh flavours of the sencha. This is an easy drinking tea with crisp vegetal notes and a gentle sweetness.
Hojicha is slow roasted in small batches, resulting in a rich, roasted flavour that's incredibly smooth and lightly sweet with nutty notes and caramel undertones. The careful roasting process turns the tea leaves from green to a warm reddish brown and removes any bitterness, leaving you with a cozy green tea that's very low in caffeine.
